Worst Experience, Ever

This review basically explains:

•Wouldn't accept anything but cash (including certified bank check)

•Said with words she would cover certain things but contract said she wouldn't

•Was rude when I asked reasonable questions

•Yelled at me and my boyfriend in front other clients

•Kicked us out after we got to be a little to curious for her liking

•Used way too many words and phrases that we didn't understand and was rude when we asked for clarification

•Yelled at us that it was an inconvenience for her to meet with us on Easter even though she advertised appointments that day

THEY HAVE BEEN SUED FOR SELLING SICK PUPPIES

100% would NOT recommend. Jess Durkin of Prada Pups/Prada Puppies is extremely unprofessional. I just had the worst experience of my life. After seeing the puppy I came to see, I wanted to step outside to speak with my boyfriend in private just for us to confirm with each other that we absolutely loved him and he was the right decision, she was clearly annoyed that we did that. Which was fine, we were back in the house in 5 seconds because we both agreed that we fell in love with him. Then, when going over the paper work, she slammed through everything. Her words ran into each other, I couldn't tell one sentence from another. She was using way too much veterinarian jargen. The average person would have no clue what she was even saying. When I asked reasonable questions, she would roll her eyes and her tone would be clearly annoyed. One of the puppies were coughing, which is a sign of sickness. But it's also a side effect of kennel cough vaccine. But of course, making a huge decision and being a customer, I'm going to ask questions. She had said she will cover all ver bills for sickness up to 14 days and there was another two year health gaurentee, not including kennel cough and some other common issues. So when I brought that up, she said she'd still Facebook pay me for it anyway and the only reason they have that in writing is so that she doesn't get stuck with a crazy unnecessary bill for exrays for some flu type thing that she said to me as if I would know how minor it is. Like what??? At this point, another couple showed up to pick up their puppy.

She emphasized to my boyfriend over text that she accepts cash only, which is a red flag to me. I'm a bank manager so I like certified paper trails for every transaction. I had just asked her, why, to which she responded 'um, so you don't scam me' with the nastiest attitude. I had asked her how she felt about certified cashier's check, and she snapped. Saying, first you only want to meet on Easter, then you ask about kennel cough and then you don't want to do cash. Literally yelling in front of the other couple. First of all, she advertised Easter appointments after 4. Second, it was a big decision, of course I'm going to ask questions. Third, my boyfriend and I were simply inquiring about a cashiers check, even though we had cash on hand and were willing to purchase the puppy then and there. She wanted no part. While I tried explaining to her that I want him and we were asking reasonable questions, she told me flat out, she didn't care. She kicked us out.

Of course this basket case didn't post the video!! Proof every word you say defending yourself is a lie Jess! Jess Durkin lol you look like a durkin

Guest

Still waiting to see that video! Hard to believe that Jess has the nerve to say she wasn’t rude- she sounds flat out rude and nasty just in the way she types and defends herself. Delusional.

Guest

POST THE VIDEO WITH AUDIO! Do it!!!!

Guest

I would pay actual money for you to publicize the video, Jess. Sound and everything.

You're a lying nut job.

I'd love to hear and see this one. But you won't, all you'll do is threaten

There's no surveillance video posted on your page. Just another lie.

Guest

This is absolutely typical behavior for Jess and people like her that sell sick puppies, backyard breeders, brokers, puppy mills, etc. Keep posting, keep making others aware of this, sooner or later, it will be her turn to get shut down.

Did you go to her house?

Jess, how many puppies do you have? This is an ongoing crazy, byb scam with another level, let's keep working together to end this nonsense.

She came to my home. We went over everything thing with her and she threw a fit because we would not take a bank check. We told her no 10 times then put them out we don’t have to argue with people we will gladly post the surveillance video from in our puppy room with video and SOUND we were never rude they were and are mad we would not bend our rules for their game

Just like you send payments for vet bills! Narcissist and compulsive liar.

Guest

She is ridiculous and always has an excuse. She’s always right so there’s no point in saying or arguing with her.

She doesn’t allow bad reviews on her page so people don’t get discouraged to buy her dogs- there is A LOT of people she’s sold sick dogs to and blocked for asking reasonable questions me included. She is an awful person and I can only hope she gets shut down soon. She makes money untaxed through selling puppy mill dogs and that’s why it’s always cash only. Once you purchase a puppy from her don’t expect to have any other kind of contact with you, if the puppy gets sick even a few days after purchase she will turn it around on you.

she’s a broker and only cares about $$$. So sorry you went through this!!!

There is no way to resolve it. It’s just not the fit for us.

Original review Jun 02, 2019
Made an appointment to visit a puppy earlier today. Met the puppy with my husband and two kids and really liked her. Asked if we could have a few moments to talk it over privately- wanted to make absolutely sure we were making the right decision. A few minutes later we let her know that we needed to sleep on it - and shortly after leaving got a text saying it was “offensive” that we asked for time to speak alone as a family and that she would not sell the puppy to us because we should not have an issue discussing anything with her there. My son is on the autism spectrum and I wanted to make sure HE was sure and I didn’t want to embarrass him in front of a complete stranger. No problem - she can keep her puppies.

And Jess, just wondering when it became an issue for someone to express (in a PRIVATE conversation) any concerns they have regarding adding a new dog to a family? My husband was worried about finding someone to watch the dog on vacations and added other added costs.

Isn’t that something that SHOULD be discussed before making a final commitment??? Apparently not in your business.

Lisett Whf

OMG Jess you are such a LIAR. You texted me - and I quote - “I’m not comfortable sending her home with clients not comfortable discussing things in front of me in my own home”.

Not a single mention of “Dad”. Ironically, there’s another complaint on here where the couple went OUTSIDE to discuss things privately and you were pissed at them too. And we were not completely sure she was the right puppy for us, so we did the right thing - we didn’t take her. We didn’t ask you to hold her - told you to do whatever you needed to do and we would completely understand - which was also the right thing to do.

And yes, the conversation and the decision to wait was very much about my son and making sure my son was committed and understood the additional responsibility he would have. You’re so arrogant you think people should just walk in and hand over the cash. Sorry - we weren’t so impressed with you or your reputation that we felt that that would be the best idea. Funny, after this happened I spoke to a work acquaintance about the situation-turns out she lives right down the road from you.

And your reputation is far worse than I even knew.

So everything has turned out just fine. : )

No the other couple wanted to write a check. And no DAD did not want a puppy.

We were extremely polite to you never rude and texted you after you left and went with different people that is our choice. You stated if we had other people interested not to hold her. And yes it IS extremely rude to ask me to leave my puppy room and if you wanted a private discussion you could of had it before you came. If you can not discuss things in front of no we do not want to send a puppy home with you.

No idea why you would not be impressed. We didn’t do anything wrong.

All you did was claim was it’s all about the money which it wasn’t. We wanted what was best for the puppy and DAD was not on board with a puppy and we do not want people to have to be convinced to want another puppy

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1697849

We had zero problem with you discussing a puppy BUT we do have a problem being asked to leave our puppy room. Sorry you did not like our decision.

We at NO time were rude to you or your children. If we do not like the vibe we are getting we choose different people. That is what we do.

As soon as you stated we have to convince dad as he not really on board for a puppy we had already made up our mind. We do not approve of that

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1697849

The other couple you're talking about, we still haven't seen surveillance video and you LIED about it being on your account. The complaint said they inquired about a cashiers check.

Which is something your money laundering 'Can I speak to the manager hair cut' behind would know nothing about! You'd sell a puppy to anyone with cash and a quarter of a brain. But someone RESPONSIBLE who is really taking into consideration the gravity of the commitment of adding a life to their home, never in a million years will you sell from them.

You don't even give the name and contact info of your breeders which you are required by law to do. It's so sad that you have to start over under a different name (Premier Pups) just because of the FLOOD of bad news that shows up when you simply google you or your business.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1698299

Really? That’s funny because all puppies go home with breeders information ask the client that wrote this review ALL information is shown and given to clients.

Premier Puppies is an off Shoot of Prada as we have 3 bussiness partners as I have stepped backed as I have my own things to do Maura lol It’s funny soo many bad reviews on us telling PEOPLE NO but of course we don’t care ... If we didn’t care wouldn’t our puppies all be in shelters? They aren’t ? if we didn’t care would we have thousands of sick messed up puppies and Thousands of poor reviews to the state ...

we don’t which we proved. We have always and will always care about where our puppies go and why we still offer puppies 20years and counting

Guest

No I’m sorry this is not how this happened ... we had no problems with anyone at the appointment and it was not over the Son .....

we have no issue or anything while they were here we texted her after they left that we were not comfortable with the sale as DAD was 100% not in to wanting another puppy. She did not like that answer and kept claiming it was about the money which it was not ... we had already refused a home prior with the Golden Doodle as they did not have a yard for her. We do not want to send a puppy home when everyone if not on board with getting a puppy.

That is our call to make. And it was not a hey we are going to step outside to discuss we were asked to leave our puppy room.

Which we DID with no problem BUT of course kept an eye thru our cameras posted in the room (It’s posted directly on the wall we have them) and they entire conversation was trying to convince dad to have another puppy. We were polite they said they wanted to sleep on it, Left no deposit for the puppy or desire they definitely wanted her and we chose to move on to the next people who inquired about her.

Allannah Fqk

I have great Dane pups nearby

Guest

Jess is trash and won't sell to responsible people. Let's just wait for the 'real story' that she posts AKA a completely fabricated story.

Then she'll fake threaten to post the surveillance video with audio but we'll never see it.

You are much better off without giving her your business. And it's a shame, with her son having autism too, you'd think she'd be more understanding of people trying to make sure that a long term commitment is the best for everyone in the family.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1696064

We have no problem with that at all we had no issues with them or the son at the appointment we were more then polite it’s our call to make where our puppies go and DAD was not on board with having another puppy. They did not want to make any kind of commitment as she stated herself well don’t hold or anything if someone else is interested we may let you know tomorrow if we are still interested ....

we chose to go with the next people that inquired about her. That’s our choice.

The truth is this: If Jess Durkin of Prada Puppies, Premier Puppies, whatever, was a good business, she wouldn't have to defend herself so hard against so many negative reviews online. If she conducted good, HONEST business, the internet would be flooded with glowing reviews. But instead, all websites that she has no control over are filled with so many different versions if the same terrible story and her making up things that happened out of desperation. Psychotic people truly believe the lies they tell. She literally belongs in a mental hospital. Her poor husband looks like he's constipated all the time and I would too if I had to deal with that woman 24/7.

Prada Puppies Worst

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I asked "Jessica" I guess her name is, about a calm breed because in the past I had bought an Australian Shepard without doing any research & found I had a high strung herding dog who required a lot of exercise & didn't want to make the same mistake twice. She basically pushed me to the unsuitable dogs she had left over that no one wanted & when I didn't want any of them said I should get an older dog. She was so rude & had the nerve to write something about me negatively on facebook. Well, you are the most rude person ever! You don't breed dogs so basically you're a dog broker. You sell dogs from puppy mills. You don't care about animals your basically brokering a deal for money. Everyone knows that there are higher strung breeds & if you can't take the time to match customers to the right breed you are really in the wrong business.

Yes Dear for 4 years we answered every question you had. For 4 years.

After you stated you didn’t want a dog that barked, that was calm, that wouldn’t be crazy we recommend maybe an older dog which where you went crazy. Yes we do have all the messages posted on the page because we KNEW you would leave such a glowing review. No we did not feel comfortable selling you a puppy and YOU did not like that answer.

We also inquired where the other 2 crazy dogs you had ended up and we never got a response to that. But we DID answer all your questions for 4 YEARS

Dead dog

Just wanted to give you an update in regards to Leo who we purchased from you not even 3 years ago. He died. A little piece of my 7 year old sons heart died right along with him. 3 year old pup. My 11 year old Boston is still thriving. But my 3 year old puppy died from his hereditary health issues. Sad to see you are still up and running.

Yes Rebecca Ann we are more then aware and HAVE been in contact with you for 3 years ALL we ever asked for was Vet Certification it was a Hereditary/Congenital issue and all you did was fight with us of where is that required my vet said which we had no problems with AND even offered a second opinion which we are entitled to and you refused. You would message us then block us I have ALL messages back and forth between us and everything you ever sent us which we never got an unfit for the vet stating it was a Hereditary Condition or even why the dog died. So if you would LIKE to provide that here please feel free

Prada Puppies - We have an amazing 2 yr old bulldog
We got Diesel our bulldog/pug from Jess two years ago. I jus happened upon her FB page and did some research. we fell in love... he has been the best family dog we could have asked for. Jess was upfront with us about everything that was going on with him from her vet check. It wasn’t anything out of the ordinary of puppies. If we still lived In the area we wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another dog from Prada Puppies. I’m favt even though we live over a thousand miles away now, I still stay on her FB page to see all the new puppies ! Take the negative reviews with a grainof salt. Ive come to realize that when I people cannot control a situation they tend to become outraged over the smallest of details. Form your own opinions of this company.

They fall on love...with a picture.2.Health issues are explained away by an unscrupulous breeder that is *** bent on making the sale.3. They don't actually want to know the conditions the parents of their puppies are raised in, which is why they go to a broker...

No, I have never bought from a broker. Always buy straight from the breeder and make sure I see the mother and her living arrangements, get health tests, usually available back 5 generations, and they stay in touch.

And literally charge 1/2...for a well bred dog. I saw yours.

I hope you didn't pay for a purebred. All dogs are great, no slight on your dog.

Guest

Jess let you know everything that was going on with the health of your puppy? Color me incredulous.

Brokers have one job and that is to make the sale. They've already bought the litter, so they can twist the rules to do whatever it takes to get their money. Do you honest believe any good bulldog breeder would forfeit their share of the money, just to avoid scrutiny? Good breeders are indispensable and our allies.

They do not sell to brokers. Ever.

Reputable breeders charge a lot less than poor ones that don't even know what they're doing past heat cycles. Truth.

Wrong breed

Prada Puppies - Wrong breed
Prada Puppies - Wrong breed - Image 2
When we got our puppy, we were told she was a border collie/australian shepard mix. After a year of wondering, we got a DNA test and found that she was in fact neither. Our dog is 2 and has the worst behavior problems (Aniexty, not dog friendly, not people friendly). After multiple trainers/vets we were told that it’s most likely because she was taken from her mother too early. Reguardless everything, we love her unconditionally.

Our dog has similar anxiety problems and we have a feeling she was taken from her mom too early too.

Guest

This is no shock. You are not the first nor the last to be scammed by her.So sorry

Guest

Where?!!! The dog doesn't look like either breed in the slightest.

Guest

Also none of our puppies go home before 8 weeks. We do not take puppies from their mothers early.

I'm sorry your vet feels that way. We 100% do not do that

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1456022

Good one Jess. Guess that DNA is lying too?

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1457283

The truth about the DNA tests is that the tests, even the best ones, won't show the dog as a mixed breed after a few generations. BUT, it does mean that somewhere, another breed is intoduced to produce merle AND paperwork was forged to AKC. Do you REALLY want to do business with Someone like that?

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1456022

Puppies should not be taken from their mothers until 8 weeks. They are 8 weeks old when you have them. It's TOO young.

Guest

We have no reason to lie on our mixed breeds. We do not hold any of those test to truth as they are 90% wrong.

Your dog actually shows the traits of the dogs we stated she is Border Collies and Aussies are very stranger danger, are high strung, and pref to not be with other dogs.

We let people know they take alot of training. We are sorry you feel we mis represented your puppy but we truly did not

BEWARE!! Jess was already sued by the State and LOST!!

If you received sick puppies from her, please report her to the state. She was sued before by the state and was found guilty. Read for yourself at http://nj.gov/oag/newsreleases15/pr2015****a.html: New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs and “Prada Puppies” Agree to Settlement, “Prada Puppies” Agrees to Change Business Practices and Pay $65,634 for Restitution, Reimbursements and Penalties NEWARK - Acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman and the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs and defendant Jessica Durkin, d/b/a "Prada Puppies," of Salem, a pet dealer who allegedly sold sick pets to consumers, have reached a $65,634.41 settlement that includes consumer restitution along with civil penalties and legal/investigative cost reimbursements. “We’re pleased that the affected consumers will be receiving restitution under this settlement,” Acting Attorney General Hoffman said. “We can’t undo the heartache these consumers suffered when their newly-purchased puppies became sick or had to be euthanized, but this settlement includes business practice reforms to ensure that only healthy pets are offered for sale going forward.” “The Pet Purchase Protection Act and the Pet Purchase Protection regulations require that cats and dogs offered for sale receive an examination from a licensed veterinarian before delivery, as well as disclosure to consumers that this important procedure has been completed,” noted Steve Lee, Acting Director of the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs. “Any consumer about to buy a pet should review their rights, as well as the seller’s responsibilities, under this law.” Five consumers will receive a total of $6,443.72 in restitution for the purchase price and/or veterinary costs incurred for their pets. Of the remaining settlement amount, $58,134.41 in civil penalties and cost reimbursements to the State are suspended for a 30-month period and will be vacated if the settlement terms are not violated. Under the settlement, Durkin cannot sell a cat or dog within New Jersey without a history and health certificate containing the name and address of the person from whom she purchased the cat or dog; the breeder’s name and address and the litter number; the date Durkin took possession of the cat or dog; the date or dates on which the cat or dog was examined by a veterinarian, along with the findings made and the treatment, if any, taken or given to the cat or dog; the statement of all vaccinations or inoculations administered, including the identity and quantity of the vaccine or inoculum administered; and the date of administration of the vaccinations and inoculations; The settlement further prohibits Durkin from: selling a cat or dog within New Jersey without a history and health certificate containing a 10-point bold-face type "WARNING, " as required by the Pet Purchase Protection regulations; failing to maintain a copy of the history and health certificate signed by the consumer for a period of one year following the date of sale; failing to provide consumers with a "KNOW YOUR RIGHTS" statement detailing prior examinations and a "WAIVER OF REEXAMINATION RIGHTS;” failing to have purchased cats or dogs examined by a licensed veterinarian at least three days prior to delivery to the consumer; refusing to refund consumers' money after selling them a sick or defective cat or dog; refusing to reimburse consumers’ veterinary fees incurred prior to receipt of the veterinarian certification; failing to issue to consumers an ''Unfitness of Animal - Election Of Options" form for a cat or dog deemed unfit for purchase; and failing to notify the Division of Consumer Affairs no later than five days of receipt of the "Unfitness of Animal - Election Of Options" certificate that the status is contested. As set forth in the State’s Complaint, Durkin allegedly violated New Jersey's Consumer Fraud Act and Regulations Governing the Sale of Animals through her sale of puppies that turned out to be sick and in need of expensive veterinary treatment. Investigator Donna Leslie, of the Division of Consumer Affairs Office of Consumer Protection, conducted this investigation. Deputy Attorney General Alina Wells, of the Consumer Fraud Prosecution Section within the Division of Law, represented the State in this matter. Beware: Soliciting reviews from a page where every bad one is already blocked.*****Hi Guys... it's seems the haters have been crazy on Pissed Consumers website (not sure of the link sorry) Google Pissed Consumers Prada Puppies brings it up with reviews about Prada Puppies.

It's the ONLY place on the internet we HAVE bad reviews because it's basicly highjacked by activists and you do not have to have "proof" of any claims. As everyone knows we aren't into drama but unfortunately it seems people just want to believe that. So if there are positive ones in there they will see them too. Our roll calls get 400 plus "real" people but guess that does not countIf anyone would like to go leave a positive review of your experience with us would be helpful to balance it out as it seems people only believe neg reviews. It's just super annoying.

It takes about 2 min and would be extremely helpfulThanks so much for your help We LOVE our Facebook Family we would not be who we are with out you guys20 years of the Best of the Best*** you will get horrible comments under your post just smile and ignore *** they sink their own boatAnd just an FYI : we are not rude, disrespectful, defensive ect. We are 100% truthful, open and I guess blunt.

Unfortunately when people do not get the response they " want" we become those things in their mind. We love what we do, we love our clients and most of all love our puppies We would rather be 100% transparent, truthful and "hurt" some feelings along the way then try to pretend we are something we are not.

It seems you guys only WANT bad reviews here.

We 100% do not control THIS page and as you can see people can post what they want. There is nothing wrong with making the playing field fair seems only the haters have an issue

Prada Puppies - Excellent experience
We got our sweet little girl from Prada puppies! Jenn was very nice from the time of setting up our appointment to when we arrived to meet our sweet roxy girl! Took roxy to the vet a week after we got her. She was healthy no issue to be honest the vet was impressed because normally they see kennel cough and so other illnesses in puppies! Roxy is very well mannered and so loveable! I would recommend Prada puppies to anyone that is looking for a fur baby to add to their family!

Prada Puppies - EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE
Coming up on a year since we got our husky from them and I could not be any happier with our decision! They lady warned us about the behavior of a husky and how they like to do what they want and let me tell you was she on the money! Other then him being stubborn and doing things on spite (like digging holes we just fill back in) and talking back always he is absolutely PERFECT! He is such a big lover and the best best friend you could have! I would recommend Prada Puppies to anyone looking for a puppy! Once my daughter gets a little bigger I WILL be back for another best friend !

Prada puppies changed our lives

Prada puppies changed our lives
Our family got our dog, Nesta. From Prada puppies. He is a handsome boxer, who is well behaved because he was socialized and well taken care of before he came to us. We don’t care what anyone says it was the best decision for our family, and we would do it again.

Maybe your Boxer came from Firman Yoder's mill. He houses the parents in cages in his barn.

Did you receive papers that gave the breeder of your puppy? Would you do it again if you knew the parents lived in cages their whole lives? Some people would because they really don't care.

Others refuse to believe. Very sad.
